Workshop is held in the Studio at Purlin' J's Yarn Emporium, 2-675 Arlington Park Place, Kingston, Ontario.
- 100g of fingering-weight sock yarn (some nylon content is recommended, rather than 100% natural fibre). We suggest Eclectic Sock or WYS Signature Sock.
- Two 2.5mm x 60cm circular needles
- 1 locking stitch marker
- 2 small round stitch markers, and a
- Darning needle
Maximum 8 participants.
Prerequisites: Please note that this is not a beginner class. Participants must be able to knit and purl, and be comfortable with standard knitting terminology.
About the Instructor:
Carol Gee has been a passionate knitter for 40 years and has been teaching others to knit for 39. She started teaching her friends how to make Icelandic knit sweaters in the 1980s, managed a Lewiscraft store for a couple of years, worked at a yarn shop in Perth for several years, and has test knit for a yarn company and a few designers . She enjoys working with people, especially when she can share her love of knitting and fibre. She has lived in Kingston for three years, and is looking forward to meeting everyone!
